Overview of Time Log Table
Member Types:

The overview of your Time Logs Table is meant to help you get familiar with the layout and show you what you can do from the case log table. Please see the other help desk guides link for more detail on various functions.


Navigate to Time Logs

Click the "Time Logs" tab in your navigation bar.

NOTE: If you do not see the Time Logs tab in your navigation bar, you may need to click "More", and from the drop-down list, select "Time Logs" depending on your screen size.

Actions

  • List: (Bulleted List Icon) Take you to the specific time log type to view entries, certificates, export, and run reports.

Time Logs Table Tabs

Reports

  • Time Log Report: Provides details about approved time logs. Example: Quick view of the information students enter in the time logs. A complete list of each student's logs. (log #, encounter date, member, preceptor, rotation, time, focus area, skills)
    NOTE: This report only runs on Completed (Approved) Time Logs

  • Time Log Report by Rotation: Provides total time based on the rotation ID#. Example: Receive a total number of hours based on a single rotation. (rotation ID # with the link, start and end dates, course, time)
    NOTE: This report only runs on Completed (Approved) Time Logs

  • Time Log Report by Rotation Hours: Provides total time when the student has multiple rotations. Provides the student's name, preceptor details, rotation details, and total time. (student details, rotation details, preceptor details, total time)
    Example: Use this when your student has multiple rotations, and you must combine the total time.

  • Preceptor Hours Report: Creates a certification with the preceptor's name on it and the total number of hours they have precepted. You can download the certificate. The hours populate by approved time log time.

Certificates

Preceptor certificates are meant to be a token of appreciation from schools. Preceptor certificates are tied to the time logs students submit, indicating the clinical course and hours spent in clinical precepting. These hours can be applied to the re-certification process of a preceptor.

Approve Selected

Approve the selected logs.

NOTE: The approved selected option will only appear if you have approval rights. Not everyone can approve time logs.

Export

  • Export All: Export all time logs.
  • Export Selected: Export only those you choose.

Statuses

  • Active: The time log has been submitted for review by the Clinical Faculty, Preceptor, and/or the School.
  • Completed: The time log was approved and will now appear on reports.
  • Deleted: Any and all deleted time logs.
  • Needs Info: The submitted time log was set to this status by someone who can approve the time log in ACEMAPP. The student can edit and resubmit the time log.
  • Pending: The time log is being created and has not been submitted for review yet.

Time Logs Table Features

Records per Page

Allows you to expand the records per page.

Search

Allows you to search by name, log #, email, course number/name, clinical site, faculty name/email, and preceptor name/email.

Select All Box

Allows you to select all members to export the results and approve the selected logs.

NOTE: The approved selected option will only appear if you have approval rights. Not everyone can approve time logs.

Action Icons

  • Edit: (Pencil Icon) Review a member's time log entry and manage.
  • Delete: (Trash Icon) Delete time log entries if needed.

Sort Columns

This feature enables you to sort each column in the time logs table.

These hours can be applied to the recertification process for a preceptor. Preceptor certificates are located within your time log menu.
