ACEMAPP allows you to enable Google 2-factor authentication, which adds an extra layer of security to your ACEMAPP account by adding a second step of verification when you sign in. Please follow the steps below to protect your account.

Step 1:

Using your mobile device, download and install the free Google Authenticator app, available for Android, iPhone, and iPad. The app is only available for a smartphone or tablet. To download the app, you can click one of the links below:

Step 2:

To enable Google 2-factor authentication in ACEMAPP, log in to ACEMAPP and click your name in the upper-right corner of your account and select "Profile" under the Personal section.

Step 3:

Before enabling Google 2-factor authentication in ACEMAPP, you must complete the Security Questions tab of your profile.

In the System section of the Navigation menu on the left, select the "Security Questions" tab. Complete all three security questions and click "Save".

Step 4:

After completing the Security Questions tab, open the Google Authenticator app on your mobile device and perform the following actions:

  • Click the "+" plus icon at the bottom right of the screen.
  • In the pop-up menu, select the "Scan a QR code" option (your mobile device’s camera will open within the app).

Step 5:

Navigate to your profile in ACEMAPP, select the "Google 2Factor Auth" tab under the System section of the Navigation menu, and perform the following actions:

  • Using the Google Authenticator app, scan the QR code in the Google 2Factor Auth tab in ACEMAPP.
  • After you scan the QR code, a 6-digit authentication code will appear in the app.
    • Important: Please scan the QR code in ACEMAPP only once. If you have multiple codes in the app for ACEMAPP, swipe right on the unneeded codes to delete them.
  • Set the Google Authenticator toggle in ACEMAPP from No to "Yes".
  • In the Activate Here field, enter the six-digit code from the app (without a space).
  • Click "Save" to finish.

Once your changes have saved, you have successfully enabled Google 2-factor authentication on your ACEMAPP account. Each time you log in, you must enter your ACEMAPP password and the unique code from your mobile device (using the Google Authenticator app).

FAQs

  • Will the Forgot Password feature disable my Google 2-factor authentication?
    • No. Resetting your password will NOT disable or reset your 2-factor authentication settings.
  • I have a new mobile device and no longer have access to my Google 2-factor authentication code or app. How can I log in to ACEMAPP?
    • Please contact ACEMAPP support so we can verify your account and disable the Google 2-factor authentication on your account.

The Profile allows you to enter and edit personal information in ACEMAPP.
